To strengthen our Innovation Management team we are looking for a
Fullstack Developer - R&D & Innovation
(all genders)
Your responsibilities:
- You will research, evaluate, and prototype new technologies, standards, and trends in the fields of media streaming, OTT, cloud-native architectures, and content delivery.
- You will develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate new ideas and present results to internal stakeholders during agile sprint demos.
- You will co-define innovation initiatives and research directions together with Product Owners and technical experts.
- You will identify opportunities to improve existing products by applying modern development approaches and emerging technologies.
- You will contribute to the technical roadmap for future media delivery and streaming platforms.
- You will design and develop modern fullstack applications supporting our streaming and broadcast solutions.
- You will build integrations between our media platforms and external services, including cloud-based and AI-powered solutions where appropriate.
- You will evaluate and integrate relevant AI tools, APIs, and development assistants to improve products, workflows, and engineering productivity.
- You will collaborate closely with cloud, product, and research teams to transform innovative concepts into production-ready solutions.
Technical Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- You will stay up to date with the latest developments in streaming technologies, cloud platforms, AI-assisted software development, and related industry trends.
- You will prepare technical documentation, whitepapers, and conference papers presenting research results and innovation projects.
- You will represent the company at national and international conferences, workshops, and industry events.
- You will actively share knowledge within the organization and support colleagues with your technical expertise.
Your skills that inspire us:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer.
- Experience with at least one backend and one frontend language – preferably Python and React.
- Experience working with cloud platforms – AWS is a plus.
- Strong interest in emerging streaming technologies, OTT platforms, cloud-native development, and media delivery architectures.
- Experience using AI development tools, AI APIs, or modern AI-assisted software engineering workflows.
- Curiosity for new technologies, strong analytical thinking, and a passion for experimentation and innovation.
- Independent and structured working style with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken; German is a plus.
- Bonus points if you've worked with .NET 6, MPEG/DASH, HLS, DRM, CMAF, low-latency streaming, or media processing technologies.
Here's what we're proposing for you:
Place of work: Vienna (hybrid option), working hours: 38,5hours per week, reference number: OC1026CIN, starting date: 08/2026. We are happy to offer professionals with relevant training and experience a gross annual salary in line with the market of between 50,000 and 72,000 euros (salary group 4, Telekom-KV, 38,5 h/week)*.

Good communication and direct cooperation are very important to us. You can work from home, from the modern office or hybrid. In practice, this means that, according to your preferences, you will benefit from working remotely or from an office in Vienna with a great location and a cool atmosphere. We are happy to talk about the details in a meeting.
*For legal reasons, we are required to state the minimum salary as per the collective agreement. For this position, it is € 3.523,02 gross/month (Qualification Group 4, Specialist Level, Telekom collective agreement 2026, full-time).
